April 1 @ 9:00 AM - April 1 @ 5:00 PM
Are you confused about your life direction & goals? Wondering how you got where you are? Join us for this one day workshop designed intentionally to help focus your life and career aspirations.
The workshop is led by Silicon Valley veteran, Dave Evans, Co-founder of Stanford’s Life Design Lab, early Apple product leader, co-founder of Electronic Arts, and co-author of the New York Times bestselling book, DESIGNING YOUR LIFE.
Harnessing decades of design thinking and Dave Evans’s design experience, this seminar will address the “wicked problem” of designing your life and career. This experience offers a framework, tools, a community of peers, and a place where we will work on these issues through assigned readings, reflections, and in-class exercises. Instructor Dave Evans uses a design thinking approach to help participants from any field develop a constructive and effective approach to finding and designing their vocation beyond their current status. The workshop incorporates an introduction to this type of thinking, which is then applied via a framework that organizes the content elements of the course. The framework addresses the integration of work and worldview, the realities of engaging the workplace, and practices that support vocation formation throughout your life. This workshop will deal with issues ranging from how to find and experience meaning-making in work to how to network and get an interview.
